They rallied hard from a set down to win 4-6, 7-6, 10-6 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the $1,237,570 ATP tennis event in Seoul on Tuesday.

The Indians, ranked number 114 in the ATP and 100 in the ATP, respectively met expectations in a match that lasted one hour and fifty-six minutes against New Zealander Sitak and French tennis player Eysseric, numbers 134 and 102 in the ATP.

In the next round, Yuki and Myneni will encounter third seeds, Diego Hidalgo and Cristian Rodriguez.

According to reports, the winning duo broke their opponents' serve on one occasion, and the defeated pair counter broke twice. The Indian pair had 70% first serve accuracy and hit 77% of the points on serve.

In contrast, their opponents were 73%, and they got 68% of the points on serve. As far as fouls and errors are concerned, the winners committed four double faults, and the losing team made two double faults.

During the quarterfinals, Bhambri and Myneni will encounter Cristian Rodriguez and Diego Hidalgo, who defeated John Peers and Miomir Kecmanovic 6-2 6-1 in the round of 16.

The tournament takes place in Seoul on outdoor hard courts between September 26 and October 2.

Bhambri and Myneni's dream run in 2022

Bhambri and Myneni had previously won the Rafa Open title this month, marking their fifth title win. They had an easy run, having defeated the Czech Republican pair of Marek Gengel and Lukas Rosol 6-2 6-2 in the final.

The third-seeded pair had beaten the top seeds Marco Bortolotti and Sergio Martos Gornes 2-6, 7-6, 10-5 in a gruelling semifinal. In April, the team started a spectacular year by winning the men's doubles title at the Salinas Challenger.

They won the Czech Open, the Porto Challenger and the Lexington Challenger before clinching the Rafa Nadal Open, which marks their fourth win of a Challenger trophy in 2022.

The summit clash of the Lexington Challenger was a brilliant showdown where the second-seeded Indian pair overcame the Dutch-British team of Gijs Brouwer and Aidan McHugh, 6-3 4-6 8-10, to win the title.

Similar to the round of 16 matches at Seoul this year, the pair recovered from a set down and forced the match into a decider. The team maintained great composure throughout the game and pocketed a much-needed title win.
