Pro Kabaddi League: Jaipur with a hat-trick win in season 9, this time against Gujarat Giants
Jaipur Pink Panthers retain their brilliance by registering their third win this season after defeating Gujarat Giants 25-18. Rahul Chaudhari and Bhavani Rajput were the highest scorers on the winning side
The match kicked off with Rahul Chaudhari and Arjun Deshwal grabbing bonus points. Rohit Kumar made his first appearance in the season and took out Sunil Kumar.
Both sides were loaded with solid defence, and Gujarat Giants were successful in cornering Rahul Chaudhari in the first half. However, he displays an aggressive performance in the next moments of the match.
He took out Sahil Gulia and Sandeep Kandola before Shankar Gadal foiled his raid. Before halftime, the score read 12-9 in favour of the Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Both teams maintained a high guard and capitalised on the opposition's weaknesses. Rahul Chaudhari has been spectacular in the last two matches for Jaipur.
Rakesh was absent from the mat for more than a quarter of the match in the first half. So he bounced back in the second half to challenge Ram Meher's inexperienced side.
Arjun Deshwal delivered an uninteresting performance, including a failed raid and being shoved off the mat by Sourav Gulia. Meanwhile, Ajith failed to convert a Do-or-die resulting in one point given to both teams.
Jaipur extended their lead margin to five points. Rahul Chaudhari failed to take another touch. Parteek Dahiya's terrific dubki brought in two points for Gujarat Giants.
Arjun Deshwal's performance improved in the second half, and Lucky Sharma replaced Rahul Chaudhari. Prateek's dubki decreased Jaipur's lead.
However, Gujarat lost hold over their defence and pulled off empty raids extending Jaipur's lead by seven points.
Raiders Maninder Singh and Shrikant Jadhav led the charge as Bengal Warriors registered a hat-trick of wins.
