Liverpool set to battle it out for Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski

The reports of a Spanish media outlet Fichajes report that Liverpool FC is planning to swoop in with a deal of 70 million Euros in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Reports suggest that Liverpool FC is ready to offer him a 20 million a year contract to the Polish striker.

In recent years, Robert Lewandowski has displayed outstanding results and is still one of the most dominant strikers in the European football league since his move to Borussia Dortmund, a decade back.

Since his transfer to Bayern Munich in 2014, Lewandowski transform into a goal-scoring machine.

He is widely acknowledged as one of the best strikers of this generation. It seems he is breaking records casually these days.

This season alone, Lewandowski scored 45 goals and 4 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions. B

ayern Munich, however, is reluctant to accept his current term, which still has over a year and a half remaining. This situation grabbed the attention of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF alike.

It is reported that FC Barcelona is willing to replace Martin Braithwaite and Luuk de Jong, who will be moving to Seville after this season, with Lucas Hernandez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the only strikers for the team.

Therefore, Lewandowski would be the best possible replacement and an excellent addition to the team.

On the other hand, Real Madrid is a surprising entry in this competition. The club already has Karim Benzema who is statistically and arguably in good form and  RobertLewandowski. is also of the same age as him. Therefore, fitting in another 33-year-old striker in the team is seemingly confusing to football pundits and fans alike.

Liverpool's aggressive bid  

Liverpool on the other hand is trying to get the deal straight with Lewandowski. Liverpool offered 70 million Euros to Bayern and offered a 20 million pounds a year contract to Lewandowski.

Liverpool is performing well on their offensive side and the addition of an excellent striker like Lewandowski to the team will strengthen their offense exponentially. In Bayern Munich, uncertainty enshrouded the management and the team alike regarding the future of Lewandowski in the club.

The transfer window of January 2022 is closed long back and Bayern is yet to set a new contract for Robert Lewandowski.

As of now, the club did not mention any work with the striker for the next term of the contract.

Meanwhile, Lewandowski mentioned his willingness to move out if the club does not propose a deal before the next summer window. Management of Allianz Arena looks uninterested in the renewal of the term. Another Premier League, Manchester United FC is also in dire need of a strong striker.

All the while, Liverpool is making their first move for Lewandowski. It seems to be a tug-of-war between the giants of the European football league for the celebrated striker.
