Nitish Rana is an Indian international cricketer, who plays for the Indian national team and represents Delhi in domestic cricket. He is an aggressive left-handed batsman and an off-spin bowler.
Nitish Rana was born to Dara Singh Satish Rana on December 27, 1996, in Delhi. His father is a maths professor, and his mother is a homemaker. He completed his schooling at DAV Centenary School and Vidya Jain school. He played for Vidya Jain school from 2008 to 2010.
Nitish Rana made his international debut in an ODI match against Sri Lanka in Colombo on July 23, 2021. He was only able to score a mere score of 7 runs off 14 balls in the game. The following week, he made his T20 debut playing against Sri Lanka in Colombo on July 28, 2021.
As of February 2022, the big-hitting batsman has played one ODI cricket match and two T20 internationals. In his two T20I matches he has scored 15 runs with an average of 7.5 and a strike rate of 132.5.

Nitish Rana began his IPL journey in 2015 with Mumbai Indians. He had to wait for opportunities to play in the star-packed IPL team. The left-handed batsman made his debut in the 2016 IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 11, 2016. His first memorable season came in 2017 when he scored 333 runs in 13 innings. Ahead of the 2018 auction, he was released by Mumbai Indians.

It has been confirmed that he has been acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR8 crore after a fierce bidding war with Lucknow Super giants and Mumbai Indians.
