The franchise cricket team represents Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. The franchise is co-owned by Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Jay Mehta. They have their home ground at the iconic Eden Garden Stadium.
The team's official theme is Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re (we will perform, fight, and win!), and the official colors are purple and gold. The franchise saw quite an ups and down with captaincy for their team. The team is now captained by Shreyas Iyer, coached by Brendon McCullum, and mentored by David Hussey. The team has played under the services of Saurav Ganguly, former Indian captain, having a large star-studded team of Chris Gayle, David Hussey, Ishant Sharma, Murali Karthik, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik.
