Tim David’s IPL Career

Tim is the first Singaporean cricket to play in the Indian Premier League.

He made his IPL debut playing for Royal Challengers Banglore against Chennai Super Kings on September 24, 2021. So far he has only played one IPL match.

Due to his strong performance in the Pakistan Super League, he caught the attention of multiple IPL teams in the IPL 2022 auction. Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders engaged in a cutthroat auction battle to acquire him for their teams.

It has been confirmed that he has been bought by Mumbai Indians for INR8.25 crore.

He was retained by Hobart Hurricanes in Australia’s Big Bash League(BBL) for 2022. Despite other offers he choose to  sign with the Hurricanes and stated that he was happy extending his time with the Hurricanes. He has also agreed to join Lancashire for the Vitality T20 Blast later this year
