    Ishan Kishan is an Indian international cricketer. He is a left handed opener and wicketkeeper. He has been a part of the Indian Premier League, playing for Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians.

    Ishaan Kishan's Early Life

    Ishaan Kishan was born in Patna, Bihar. His father is a builder by profession and is also involved in pharmaceutical business with his mother, their ancestral house is in Gordia village of Aurangabad district. Ishaan's grandmother Suchitra Sinha was a civil engineer from Nawada. The entire family now lives in Patna due to work and the death of Suchitra Sinha last year.

    Ishan Kishan's International Career

    In 2021, Ishan Kishan made his move to T20 Internationals. He made his T20 debut on March 14, 2021 in a match against England, in which he scored 56 off 32 balls. India won that match by seven wickets. Ishan Kishan was declared man of the match. He became the second Indian cricketer to score a half-century in a T20 debut.

    He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka on July 18, 2021. Scoring a half-century on his ODI debut, he played a respectable innings of 59 runs in 42 balls.

    So far he has played 3 ODIs and has scored 88 runs at an average of 29.3 with a strike rate of 107.3. Along with this, he has also played 6 T20I matches and has scored 148 runs at an average of 29.6 with a strike rate of 117.5.

    Ishan Kishan started his IPL career at the young age of 17. He made his IPL debut after being bought by Gujarat Lions for Rs 35 lakh in the 2016 IPL auction. In 2018, he was bought by Mumbai Indians for 62 million (approximately USD900,000).

    His performance was average with some decent performances during both the 2018 and 2019 seasons, nothing extraordinary to write about until this year. Ishan gave a fascinating performance by scoring 1601 runs in 64 matches.
