Harshal Patel's Early Life
Harshal's family had planned to move to the USA, but his brother Tapan Patel saw to it that he stayed on in India for the sake of his cricket. Patel moved to Haryana, where he was under the watchful eyes of former England cricketer Ian Pont, who helped him develop his skills. Eventually, he made his first-class debut for Haryana against Delhi in 2011 and ended the season with 28 wickets from 7 games.
Harshal Patel's International Career
He made his international debut for the Indian cricket team on November 19, 2021, when he was called up to the Indian Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) squad for the series against New Zealand. He picked up two wickets and was named Player of the Match. He followed it up with another successful hole with two wickets to finish the series with four scalps in two appearances.
