Daniel Sams' Early Life

Daniel Sams was born in Milpera, New South Wales to Errol and Susan. He did his schooling at the De La Salle College in Sydney. His elder brother Anthony Sams is also a cricketer and gym trainer. Possessing the talent of a wicket-keeper batsman, he arrived to play for the New South Wales U19 team, as his batting is well suited for limited overs cricket.

Daniel Sams' International Career

Daniel Sams started playing international cricket quite late, at the age of 27 he made his debut. He made his T20 debut on 6 December 2020 in the match against India.

So far, he has played only six T20Is in which he has scored 54 runs at an average of 27 and has a strike rate of 235. He has bowled around 18 overs and taken four wickets with an economy rate of over 10. Daniel is not only able to hit the ball hard but he is also capable of bowling well - if given more chances, there is no doubt that he will set the record.

Daniel Sams' IPL Career

In 2020, Daniel Sams joined Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. The following year he was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore at a price of 30 lakhs. In five matches, his IPL career has left a memorable mark on cricket fans as he has played with multiple teams over the two years and made a mark for himself during this time. Sams participated in the Mumbai Indians auction in 2022, when Lucknow Super Giants made him their prime target during a bid, where the franchise had to fight against other franchises to pick him up. It took a lot of hard work to get this talented all-rounder but, Mumbai Indians eventually picked him up for a price of Rs 1 crore -- which is quite high, as most cricketers are bought by teams only for that price. Which is one third or less of it. But Mumbai Indians have paid a lot of money to buy them.
