The South group fixture will be hosted at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton.

Somerset is unbeaten in the competition, having won three of the three matches played. They are coming after a clinical win against Hampshire as their bowlers shone to restrict the opposition to 123, and batters backed them to chase it down in 16 overs to win the game. Bowler Josh Davey is in hot form with the ball as he took three wickets in the previous match, whereas Tom Abell and Tom Lammonby will be favourites to watch with the bat.

On the other hand, Sussex Sharks didn’t have an ideal start to this year’s competition. They lost their opening two games but won the third one in a closely-fought contest. Having posted a target of 171 owing to a sensational cameo by Tom Alsop, the bowlers further helped them grab the win by four runs. They will look to carry forward the winning momentum from the previous game at seventh place in the points table. Mohammad Rizwan and Ravi Bopara will be players to follow in the team.

    Pitch Report

The Taunton pitch at The Cooper Associates County Ground allows batters a free game from the beginning and can maintain its batting-friendly nature throughout. We might witness rain interruptions as predicted on the match day. Skipper winning toss might look to bowl first.

Since the beginning of the tournament, Somerset looks like a settled unit and is expected to beat Sussex on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see if Sussex can hand Somerset their first loss of this edition.
