WTA 2022 Madrid open Preview
The Madrid Open WTA 1000 this year kicks off on April 28th. It is the first WTA 1000 event on clay this year and it will showcase the best players in the world with Swiatek leading the pack.
The 2021 edition was won by former world number one Aryna Sabaelnka last year and the Belarussian triumphed over opponent Ashleigh Barty in the final. The latter has retired and Aryna is facing a rough phase in her career.

Multiple former champions and the top-10 players will make for touch competition at the Madrid Open this year. Here, we have listed a preview of when it begins, who is participating and other important information!
