In a match that lasted two hours, Cabal and Farah established their identity as one of the strongest couples in the lower part of the draw. The Caleños broke the Americans' fourth serve owing to a spectacular return by Cabal in the first set. The second set proceeded without a single break, so it moved on to a 'tie-break' where Cabal and Farah failed to prevail.

In the third set, Sock's physical discomfort prompted the Americans to withdraw at 1-1. Consequently, Cabal and Farah secured their passage to the semi-finals and will now compete in their second final in London after the title won in 2019. The Colombians' will now face Croatians Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic, who beat the Germans Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies 6-4 and double 6-3.
