US Open 2022 News: Serena Williams's daughter Olympia Ohanian cheers for her mother in the first round
Serena Williams' beautiful daughter Olympia Ohanian was at the stands cheering for her mother, who may retire after this year's US Open
Olympia was seen carrying a small and cute pink coloured camera that she covered her mother's grand entry in.
Olympia was wearing a similar outfit to Serena's at the stands, clapping and cheering for Williams.
On top of all of that, to give tribute to her most talented mother, Serena, one of the greatest tennis players in history, Olympia also wore white coloured beads in her hair, very similar to the ones worn by Serena when she first won the US Open title in 1999.
Serena indeed received the love and support of all her fans, followers, and her family in the first round, and she made it to the second round because Serena is not someone that would retire without showcasing her best game.
Coco Gauff went to see Serena Williams play live after winning the first round
Coco Gauff, one of Serena's fans, rushed to the stadium after finishing her first round to see Serena Williams play.
After defeating France's Leolia Jeanjean 6-2, 6-3, Coco Gauff didn't go to her luxurious hotel to rest but went straight to watch her inspiration play.
Gauff has been very vocal about being inspired by Serena Williams all her life. Gauff said that if this was Serena's last game, she couldn't have missed it.
"I have been coming to the US Open since I was eight years old, every year, haven't missed a year. Went from watching to playing, which is cool … So then I was like this is her final match. I feel like eight-year-old me would want to see this. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said Gauff.
"As I thought about it, I was, like, 'I have to watch.' I'm excited and, you know, it's not often we watch live matches, to be honest. But for Serena, of course, but everything she's done in her career, I don't know that this will be her final match or not," she added.
The 18-year-old player, Gauff, who has come a long way from watching Williams play from the stands, and now playing in the US Open herself, couldn't have missed watching Serena play for the last time.
To everyone's relief, Serena won the first round and has made her way to the second round.
