Tennis News: The top three money winners on the 2022 ATP and WTA Tour
Top tennis players get the opportunity to make millions of dollars in paycheques every year. However, unlike in sports such as football and basketball, tennis players don’t have fixed salaries and earn prizes based on their performance at different events
Let’s take a look at the top three money winners on the 2022 ATP Tour:
1 - Novak Djokovic
Prize Money: USD 9.93 million
Novak Djokovic recently secured a straight-set victory over Norwegian sensation Casper Ruud to win the 2022 ATP Finals, resulting in the Serb earning a payday of USD 4.7 million. The price pot for the winner was bigger than USD 2.38 million at Wimbledon and USD 2.29 million at the French Open.
The victory made Novak Djokovic the top earner in terms of prize money on the 2022 ATP Tour, with total earnings of USD 9.93 million. The 35-year-old achieved the feat despite a troublesome season, having missed the Australian Open and US Open due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Prize Money: USD 7.63 million
Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz Garfia had his breakout season this year and is finishing as the World's No. 1 player on the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings.
