World No. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas made excellent use of his aggressive first-strike game to completely dominate Ilya Ivashka on the serve, winning 85% of the points on the first serve and 78% of the points on the second serve compared to 74% on the first serve and 69% of the points on the second serve won by his Belarusian opponent.
Stefanos Tsitsipas seemed to be at the top of his form on the grass court and did not face a breakpoint throughout the match. The 23-year-old Greek secured a semifinal spot with a straight-set victory over Ilya Ivashka after just one hour and 23 minutes of play. The victory improved his win-loss record against Ilya Ivashka for the season to 3-0, with one win each on clay, hard, and grass court.
In an on-court interview, Stefanos Tsitsipas said, "My service is vital in this kind of court. I think I was managing the situations on my serve very well. I felt a little bit better in the rallies."
He further added, "I felt like after my first serve, I was able to get behind the ball and pick the right spots. It was, I guess, challenging for the opponent to be able to adjust to this. I was doing it very well. I was very dedicated to that. It was perfect for me from start to finish."
Stefanos Tsitsipas will lock horns with Marcos Giron of America in a quarterfinal clash on June 23.

World No. 16 Denis Shapovalov lost the opening match for his fifth straight tournament, with his previous four losses coming at London, Stuttgart, Paris, and Geneva. He received a first-round bye at the Mallorca Open and was playing his opening match. The 23-year-old has not won a match since defeating Rafael Nadal in the second round of the Rome Open.
Benjamin Bonzi saved four of the five break points he faced, won 88% of the points on the first serve, and had just six unforced errors compared to 19 unforced errors and six double points committed by his Canadian opponent. The Frenchman dropped just one game in the second set to secure a straight-set victory after just one hour and seven minutes of play.
