With many errors, the first set was a close call between them. However, Medvedev dominated with his groundstrokes and trod with caution in the pair's third tour-level meeting. Ilya Ivashka delivered clean shots to pressure the soon-to-be world number one. Still, Medvedev responded with precision and a top-notch game at 5-4 in the second set to set up his first semi-final since Acapulco in February. Medvedev has a 2-1 lead in his ATP Head2Head series with Ilya Ivashka. The former will face Adrian Mannarino in the semi-final. The French international had outclassed American Brandon Nakashima, 6-7(5, 6-1, 6-4 earlier.

Felix enters the semi-finals of 's-Hertogenbosch and will face wild card Van Rijthoven.

Felix Auger-Aliassime reached his third semi-final of the season on Friday after beating fifth seed Karen Khachanov 7-6(5), 6-4 at the Libema Open in 's-Hertogenbosch. The Canadian is making his first appearance at the ATP 250 grass-court event, and the recent match witnessed him firing eight aces in one hour and 49 minutes. He now leads 2-1 in his ATP Head  2Head series with Khananov. Auger-Aliassime has a 20-8 record on the grass because he had entered the finals at Stuttgart in 2019 and 2021. The world number nine won his first title of the year in Rotterdam in February.

He will now face Dutch wild card Tim Van Rijthoven, who secured a 7-6(2), 6-4 victory over Frenchman Hugo Gaston. The world number 205 Van Rijthoven is surprised at the outcome of the matches. He scored 12 aces and didn't allow a break point in the game that lasted 83 minutes. The 25-year-old has amassed shocking wins against Matthew Ebden and Indian Wells champion Taylor Fritz, which would threaten the Canadian.
