This marks his second trophy this year after Doha in his 21st career final, and the Spaniard is happy to have clinched his second title on clay after Stuttgart in 2014.

He considers the victory memorable because he has done a lot of good work on clay, as stated by Batista. He was dominant throughout the match, breaking Misolic twice in each set, and he enjoyed the fact that he managed the pressure well.

Batista didn't underestimate his opponent's remarkable journey to the finals and the fact that he was the fan favourite. Filip Misolic was slated to compete in the semi-final against Germany's Yannick Hanfmann on Friday, but it was delayed due to the rain, and the match was resumed the next day.

The 20-year-old Austrian had led Hanfmann 1-0 in their third-set tiebreaker. He defeated good players and advanced to the final in his first ATP tournament.

However, being a fan favourite didn't shield him from Roberto Bautista Agut's impeccable tennis show at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel on Saturday.

Did Milosic's failure to maintain his composure cause his defeat?

The 20-year-old Misolic has managed to keep his cool and prevail to reach the final in his first tour-level event by defeating Yannick Hanfmann after the pair's semi-final clash.

However, Misolic's game paled compared to Bautista Agut's consistent and powerful ball-striking, which ultimately led him to finish the Austrian in one hour and 33 minutes.

Batista was then congratulated by Misolic, whose hard-earned victories in the tournament have lifted him 70 spots to number 135 in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings.

The 20-year-old has witnessed Batista's greatness from afar but playing against him in the final was an honour for the youngster, something he disclosed after the match.

And as expected, Batista struck more receiving points and kept his errors to a minimum. Although he hit only a single ace, his first serve had 68% accuracy compared to his opponent's 46%.

He scored more points on his first and second serve than Misolic. He didn't just thrash his Austrian opponent, but Bautista Agut also defeated Jurij Rodionov, Jiri Lehecka and Albert Ramos-Vinolas on his second appearance in Kitzbühel this week.

The victory has pulled the Spaniard to number 18 in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings.
