T20 World Cup 2022: The three most consistent and in-form batsmen in this World Cup
Three days into the World Cup, we have already witnessed some of the fantastic power-hittings from the players of Associate cricket teams attempting to qualify for Super 12
The T20 format is known for the volume of runs and consistency of scoring them in the games. And the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 is stacked with such hard-hitting batters, players who are capable of taking games out of reach of the opposition hands in a blink of an eye. But only a few players have been highly consistent with their form and are worth admiring for the ongoing World Cup.
Here we will look at those batters who are the most explosive and in the best forms for this T20I World Cup.
Mohammad Rizwan
Pakistan's opener Mohammad Rizwan is the backbone of their batting line-up. He has been producing brilliant performances with his bat consistently. He not only rotates strikes very well but also puts opponents' bowlers under pressure with his classy shot selection.
Though his power-hitting is phenomenal, his ability to take any match deep, even in hard times to get the team in a comfortable position is his most admirable strength. He has smashed 2460 runs in 62 T20I innings. Though his strike rate is a bit low, around 128.05, he has an appreciable average of 52.34, both of which justify well looking at the position he bats at.
He sets the foundation well for Pakistan's innings with a settled approach and will be a game-changing player for the team in World Cup 2022.
Suryakumar Yadav
The batter is the reason behind India's late-blooming middle-order and is in a league of his own, especially regarding the rate and style of scoring runs. He is a player with all the shots available to him and keeps the full potential to use the dimensions of the ground.
The batter has scored 1045 runs in just 32 T20I innings playing at an astonishing strike rate of 176.81. What makes the 32-year-old special is that he combines the pace of scoring with a healthy average of 38.70. He has smashed 93 boundaries and 63 sixes in just 32 innings unleashing his power game.
He is a prolific run-scorer for India, and his current form is a testimony of his ability as a middle-order batter.
Phil Salt
A fearless ball-striking opener who is most likely to open for England in the T20 World Cup alongside captain Jos Buttler has impressed everyone with his aggressive striking in matches.
In 11 T20Is, he has scored 235 runs at an average of 23.50 but with a phenomenal strike rate of 164.33 despite being an opener.
Apart from being a great opener, he fits in well at any position to bat from number one to six. He is a good outfielder and an excellent backup wicketkeeper. Above all, he syncs well with England's motto of attacking first and worrying later.
