Captain's Corner
Scott Edwards, The captain of the Netherlands, says they don't want to be remembered as the team that leaves it late but is overjoyed with the win. They performed well to gain the runs at the top, and they knew Namibia had potent death bowlers, but they got over the line and are pleased with the opportunity they have given themselves to advance to the next round.
Namibia's captain, Gerhard Erasmus, claims they could not maintain things tight on the field, making it easy for the opposition. He claims they battled with the blade, and the Netherlands did, but they ran well.
Bas de Leede has been named player of the match for his match-winning performance with bat and ball. He begins by joking that some of his teammates may resent his stealing most of the wickets. He thinks the self-belief has always been there and that it feels great to win two close games, which reflects well for their team.
