India have yet to win an ICC tournament since winning the Champions Trophy in 2013. Since then, India have reached the final and semi-finals of two T20 World Cups in 2014 and 2016. The Men in Blue, however, have only experienced heartbreak.
India will be tempted to field Yuzvendra Chahal in place of Axar Patel, who has struggled in this tournament. Yuzvedra Chahal, who brings in more spin, can be lethal in the spin-friendly conditions in Adelaide, and with England's batters poor with spin, this can be the difference between the two teams on the day.
On the other hand, England will have to do without Dawid Malan, who injured his groin against Sri Lanka. Phil Salt is likely to replace the left-hander in the England batting order.
Head to Head
The overall balance in T20Is is slightly in India's favour. The two teams have played 22 T20Is, with the Men in Blue winning 12 of those matches, while England has been victorious in the other 10
However, England won this format's last encounter between the two teams on July 10, 2022, by 17 runs.
India's players to watch
1. Suryakumar Yadav- Suryakumar Yadav, the number four batter, has been shining in the T20 World Cup 2022. He scored 228 runs from only 116 balls - that's a fantastic 193.96 strike rate.
2. Arshdeep Singh- Arshdeep Singh has been outstanding in his appearances at the Adelaide Oval in this competition, taking two wickets in an over in his match against Bangladesh. The 23-year-old has shown much promise and is someone to keep an eye on in future games.
England's players to watch
1. Jos Buttler- Jos Buttler is one of England's top scorers in the tournament, scoring 73 runs and a strike rate of 132.22. He's a big game player who will relish the attention of a semi-final.
2. Mark Wood- Mark Wood is a critical asset to the team, with his primary role being to take wickets. No matter the surface, he can bowl fast and make even the world's best batters hurry.
Match Prediction
England is predicted to win today's match as England's bowling lineup is more potent than India's, and England's bowlers will dominate Indian batters.

Pitch Report
The Adelaide Oval in Australia is a high-scoring ground in T20Is. The average first innings total at the stadium is 155, while the average second innings total is 144. The flat pitch at the stadium will support both batters and pacers. While batters will manage to score more runs, pacers are expected to get more success at the stadium. This is because the pitch is flat and, therefore, will be easier to run on for the pacers.
