    On Sunday, Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by three runs in their T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 stage match at The Gabba in Brisbane.

    Bangladesh restricted Zimbabwe to 147 for eight in 19.5 overs while defending a target of 151 runs. 

    Sean Williams scored 64 runs off of 42 balls, but his team was unable to advance across the finish line. 

    Taskin Ahmed claimed three wickets, while Mosaddek Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman each got two.

    Initially, Bangladesh was able to reach 150 for seven in 20 overs thanks to a knock of 71 runs off 55 balls by Najmul Hossain Shanto. For Zimbabwe, Richard Ngarava and Muzarabani both collected two-wicket hauls.

    Bangladesh spinner Mosaddek Hossain brought down Richard Ngarava with the penultimate ball of the match. Blessing Muzarabani then charged forward with the last ball and tried to clear the ropes but missed and was stopped.

    However, the umpires reviewed the replay and found that Bangladesh wicket-keeper Nurul Hasan had collected the ball a short of the stumps. On reflection, the third umpire declared Muzarabani not out and called the delivery a no-ball, giving Zimbabwe another chance at glory.

    But Muzarabani missed the ball again and this time there was no second chance.

    Taskin Ahmed has been named Player of the Match. He said they were all nervous because they had to return to the ground after all of the commotions, but they liked the game. He also says he's never seen something like this before. shares that his only attention is on the process. He believes he is enjoying the Australian pitch because it is benefiting the seamers. Finally, it states that they have a talented group of quick bowlers and are getting better.
