New Zealand defeated Ireland in their T20 World Cup fixture on Friday at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. New Zealand's bowlers were on top form, with the team restricting Ireland to just 35 runs. It was a comfortable win for New Zealand and set them up nicely for the rest of the tournament
Needing 186 runs to win, Ireland could only score 150 runs in 20 overs, with Lockie Ferguson taking a three-wicket haul for New Zealand. Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner and Tim Southee took two-wicket hauls.
New Zealand scored 185 runs in 20 overs, with Kane Williamson contributing 61 runs off 35 balls, including five fours and three sixes.

Joshua Little was in excellent bowling form and took a hat-trick in the 19th over. Gareth Delany got two wickets for Ireland.
