Dabang Delhi ends their six-match losing streak with a victory against Telugu Titans
Dabang Delhi defeated Telugu Titans 40-33 and ended their slump in the ninth edition of the league. On Tuesday, they bested the Telugu Titans 40-33 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex.
Ashu Malik scored 12 points, and Vishal defended spectacularly to secure 5 points for Delhi. The Titans have lost nine matches in a row. Delhi was inconsistent in the first half but still led.
They frequently threw raids but couldn't inflict an All-Out on their opponents. Vishal effected two consecutive Super-Raids on Naveen, helping the Titans to stay afloat.
In the process, they delivered five Super-Tackles in the first half, and Mohsen Maghsoudlou's last one on Naveen was enough to put them in the lead. The Titans led 17-12 before heading into the break.
Despite Delhi's half-baked approach to the game, they managed to put immense pressure on the Titans and in the second half, they finally relented.
Dabang Delhi inflicted their first All-Out of the game and reduced the gap to 18-19. The defending champions were ready to score another All-Out, but a well-timed Super-Tackle from Vishal was all it took to restrict Delhi.
The Titans instead secured their second All-Out, and a victory seemed to be in the cards. However, Ashu Malik's Super Raid on Ankit, Adarsh T, Parvesh Bhainswal, and Abhishek Singh helped Delhi acquire a much-needed win at 40-33.
Dabang Delhi currently sits third on the rankings and is in contention for qualifying for the next phase.
