Pro Kabaddi League: The best defenders in order of tackle points at the end of the first leg
With the first leg of season nine of the Pro Kabaddi League ending, it is pertinent to note the players who played in the best in Bengaluru
In the 41 matches played among various teams at Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, here are the five best defenders in the order of the points they scored.
#1 Girish Maruti Ernak
With 28 successful tackles and three High fives, Girish Maruti Ernak is the best defender in the first leg of PKL nine with 29 tackle points.
Earlier, the star defender of Patna Pirates, Girish Maruti Ernak, is now giving his best performance for the Bengal franchise, Bengal Warriors.
Along with Vaibhav Garje, another great defender from Bengal Warriors, the two are showing a great game this season.
#2 Sunil Kumar
So far, the second-best raider of this season is the star defender from Jaipur Pink Panthers.
With one High five and 23 successful tackles, Sunil currently holds 25 tackle points in his purse.
Sunil Kumar is an experienced defender and has wholly transformed Jaipur's defence in his fourth season playing the league as a defender.
#3 Ankush Rathee
One of the best young players of this season, Ankush Rathee, is the third-best defender this season so far.
It is only his debut season, and he has already secured 23 tackle points with 22 successful tackles and two highs.
The Pink Panthers were searching for an excellent left-cover defender, and Ankush Rathee has succeeded in providing them with the same. He has a bright future leaving a significant mark in his debut season.
#4 Krishan Dhull
Another remarkable young player of this season, Krishan Dhull, is also at par with Ankush Rathee with 23 tackle points from 22 successful tackles and one High five.
Playing for Dabang Delhi KC this season, Krishan Dhull has proved to be a great addition to last year's champions.
With Naveen Kumar successfully handling the raids, Krishan Dhull has been giving a tough time to its competitors as a terrific defender.
#5 Saurabh Nadal
With 21 successful tackles and 22 tackle points so far, Saurabh Nadal holds the fifth position in the list of best defenders of this season.
With Bharat starring as the top raider and one of the top five raiders this season and Saurabh Nadal as the fifth-best defender, the Bengaluru Bulls have the best of the lot.
Though Nadal has no High fives yet, his consistency in the game should fetch some by the end of the season.
