Pro Kabaddi League: Tamil Thalaivas defeat U.P. Yoddhas in the tie-breaker to win the match and advance to the semifinals
Tamil Thalaivas claimed a thrilling victory by winning 6-4 in a tie-breaker after drawing 36-36 full-time against U.P. Yoddhas at the Dome, NSCI SVP Stadium in Mumbai Tuesday

The Thalaivas became the first team to win the coin toss this season, opting for a raid. The decision came with a game plan, as they quickly took a 4-0 lead, with Narender's attacks brilliantly complemented by a tight defence.
The attacker continued to be a constant threat in the second half, scoring touchdowns to keep the Yoddhas falling further and further behind.
For the Yoddhas, the Pardeep Narwal and Surender Gill duo had it all their way as they combined to score just five points in the first half. The Yoddhas were down to three points, and Ashu Singh took a super tackle on Ajinkya Pawar to prevent an all-out.
However, shortly before the half ended, Narender re-entered the field to tackle Sandeep Narwal and then Gurdeep, forcing the Yoddhas to go all-out. With a 16-14 advantage, the Thalaivas went into the half ahead.
To take the lead 19-15 at the start of the second half, the Thalaivas inflicted a first all-out on the Yoddhas. As the Yoddhas retaliated, Gill consistently scored. The Thalaivas, on the other hand, remained composed and managed to score just enough points to hold the Yoddhas at bay.
With five minutes to go, only three points separated the two teams, and the tension was palpable. With three minutes to go, Pardeep Narwal came to life and took out Himanshu and M. Abishek, putting the Thalaivas on the brink of an all-out.
With just under two minutes to go, the Yoddhas scored their first all-out of the game to level the score at 33-33. With just under 30 seconds left, Pardeep Narwal gave the Yoddhas a two-point lead with a super raid
However, the Thaialvas fought back and scored a point through Pawar before tying the game with 15 seconds left on a tackle point by Pardeep Narwal to take the game to a tie-break. The Thalaivas won a thrilling back-and-forth tie-break 6-4 to advance to the semifinals against Puneri Paltan on Thursday.
