After a blistering start by the Puneri Paltan, they took an early lead while the Giants struggled on the mat. However, that changed within moments as captain Chandran Ranjit caught Aslam Inamdar and Sanket Sawant to bring the Gujarat Giants back into the match.

Despite the surge, the Puneri Paltans pocketed the first ALL OUT of the game to take a 15-8 lead.

Ranjit and Parteek Dahiya's all-out not only sparked a comeback but also brought the Gujarat Giants to within one point with an ALL OUT of their own. From then on, the game seesawed back and forth, with both teams constantly exchanging points. The teams went into the break with a 22-21 lead.

However, the Gujarat Giants came out of the gate like they were unleashed in the second half, with Prateek Dahiya, in particular, being red hot on almost every offensive attempt he made.

They inflicted a second ALL-OUT on Puneri Paltan and took their first game lead at 31-25. The Gujarat Giants kept up the pressure, with Dahiya, in particular, destroying Pune regularly. A second ALL OUT followed, and the Gujarat Giants extended their lead to 44-32.

They never relinquished that lead and celebrated a moral and significant victory. For the Gujarat Giants, it was once again Prateek Dahiya who was the driving force in his team with 19 points.
