Pro Kabaddi League: Pardeep Narwal sets new record in PKL 2022; The record breaker strikes again
UP Yoddhas skipper Pardeep Narwal became the first raider in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) history to compete in 150 matches.
Pradeep Narwal is an iconic figure in PKL.On December 2, Narwal played his 150th match against U Mumba at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. Most fans will remember him making his PKL debut in the league's second season.
He was a part of the Bengaluru Bulls but could barely step foot on the mat that year. He became a class act after his transfer to the Patna Pirates in the third edition.
The Haryana-born player turned heads by becoming the highest point-scorer in his first season with Patna Pirates. After that, he broke a series of records, earning him the title "record-breaker."

He secured an eight-point raid against Haryana Steelers in season five in which he scored 369 raid points, 150 points ahead of the second-highest-scoring raider. Pardeep quickly became the leading raider for the Patna Pirates and was instrumental in the franchise's three back-to-back title victories.
In 2019, he became the first raider to score 1000 points. He then had a few words to share about his achievement.
"On the whole, PKL for me from the day I started till now has been a great journey, and it doesn't end here - I have many more records to break," he said.
He was made team captain in seasons five, six and seven before the club parted ways with him. UP Yoddhas then signed the Dubki King before season eight.
UP Yoddhas decided to retain him for season nine as well. He has competed in 150 matches and secured 1,555 points so far.
Out of them, 1,533 of them were acquired through raids. His illustrious career in PKL boasts 77 Super 10s and he has executed 71 super raids.
Pardeep Narwal joins Sandeep Narwal and Manjeet Chhillar on the list of PKL's elite
After making 150 appearances in the league, Narwal's name is alongside his current UP Yoddha teammate Sandeep Narwal and former Dabang Delhi KC all-rounder Manjeet Chhillar as players who have played 150 or more career games in PKL history.
Narwal plucked a satisfying victory for his side in his 150th career game. UP Yoddhas registered a 38-28 win in their encounter against U Mumba.
Narwal scored 13 raid points that boosted his bid to become the highest-scoring raider in the current season. He is currently sixth on the list behind Maninder Singh and Narender.
His electrifying performance against U Mumba helped his side script a 10-point victory. After the win, the team is closer to entering the playoffs.
They have three matches remaining in the league stage, and they must win one game to qualify for the playoffs.
