Pro Kabaddi League: Gujarat Giants continue winning streak with a victory over Telugu Titans
Gujarat Giants claimed a hugely valuable 44-30 win over Telugu Titans at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday to stay in the race for the Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season nine playoffs.
Parteek Dahiya (17 points) and Dong Geon Lee (9 points) were the stars for the Giants on the night.
The Gujarat team needed a win to avoid dropping out of the race for the playoffs, and they started with a string of raid points. The Giants' raiding duo of Parteek Dahiya and Dong Geon Lee kept the scoreboard rolling at regular intervals and kept them constantly in the lead.
Within the first 10 minutes, they inflicted the first all-out on the Titans to take a 13-4 lead.
The Titans fought their way back into the game, and when nothing was at stake, they kept putting pressure on the Giant's defence. They even came close to scoring an all-out themselves, but a super tackle by Dong Geon on K Hanumanthu ensured the Giants did not concede too many points.
Dahiya's attacks remained a constant threat, allowing the Giants to go into the half-time break with a 21-12 lead.

Although nothing was at stake, the Titans struck back in the second half, scoring an all-out themselves to cut the lead to six points. But almost immediately, the Giants hit back.
A super raid by Dahiya put the Giants back in the lead. That attack started another period of dominance for the Giants, who forced a second all-out shortly after that
Dahiya remained the Giants' most significant threat and had already scored 17 points in the game with 10 minutes remaining.
With the Giants heading for another all-out, it took some super tackles from Parvesh Bhainswal to keep the Titans in the game. But the mountain the Titans had to climb was too big, and the Giants won.
