Pro Kabaddi League 9: List of all retained players ahead of the upcoming auction
Ahead of the Pro Kabaddi League season 9 auction, all 12 franchises have released the list of the players they will retain for the upcoming season
The teams have retained a mix of old and experienced and young and new players, while many great names like Pardeep Narwal have been released.
Puneri Paltan was the first team to retain a player. They released the news of retaining Aslam Inamdar on July 21, followed by the news of keeping Mohit Goyat on July 22.
Subsequently, all teams released the names of the retained players for the next season.
The players retained are under three categories: 19 have been retained from the Elite Retained Players category, 13 players from the Retained Young Players category and 38 players are kept from the New Young Players category.
Talking about the upcoming auctions, Anupam Goswami, League Commissioner, VIVO Pro Kabaddi League and CEO, Sports League, Disney Star India, said, “Some of the star performers of VIVO Pro Kabaddi have a fan following across the country, and we believe that this auction will witness some interesting bidding wars. This will lead to the creation of new team squads and an increased level of competition in the upcoming season 9.”
The auction is scheduled for August 5 and 6, and the bidding wars will see many incredible players going under the hammer.
