Six players Manchester United could sign to replace Paul Pogba including Frenkie De Jong and Declan Rice

The list of targets includes Declan Rice, Corentin Tolisso, Frenkie de Jong and many more. After staying six years and making 233 appearances with Manchester United, Paul Pogba will bid farewell after his contract expires. Here are six players who could replace the brilliant midfielder. 

Frenkie de Jong

Former Ajax star Frenkie de Jong moved to Spain in 2019 for £68million, but ten Hag wants to bring him to Old Trafford. He is a technical midfielder with a brilliant work rate. As Donny van de Beek plans to return from his Everton loan, ten Hag would want to reunite the midfield duo that helped Ajax to a Champions League semi-final. Despite De Jong's desire to stay at Barcelona next season, United is offering £70million to sack him.

Aurelien Tchouameni

Tchouameni's recent spell in Monaco has turned heads, so Liverpool and Real Madrid had started a bid to hire the talented French youngster. However, The Red Devils have joined the picture and are desperate to clinch the box-to-box midfielder, but Real Madrid is ready to spend £70million on the Monaco star.

Declan Rice

 Manchester United have been steadily interested in West Ham midfielder Declan Rice for the past two years. The Red Devils want a defensive-minded midfielder like Rice, but the club might have to spend £100million, which could burn a hole in their summer budget. United will have to beat Chelsea, who are also targetting the West Ham midfielder, provided the Hammers put him up for sale.

Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen could be an economic investment for ten Hag compared to United's other targets. Despite a cardiac arrest in the Euros last summer, Eriksen has returned to football under new club Brentford. However, the Danish midfielder will be out of contract after the summer and will seek other options.

N'Golo Kante

If Chelsea ends up sacking Declan Rice, the Blues might offload N'Golo Kante. As of now, the Frenchman is expected to move to United. The 31-year-old does not let his age affect his work rate, and his energy will come in handy in United's midfield. Pogba's French midfield partner could replace him at Old Trafford, and he would abstain from demanding a higher fee because his contract will expire after a year. 

Corentin Tolisso

Tolisso will be out of contract this summer, so he might leave Bayern Munich to join the Premier League, as stated by the French midfielder. The 27-year-old is a versatile player who barely received enough game time totalling 72 appearances in five years for Bayern. However, Arsenal and Tottenham have also been eyeing the French international. Spurs will guarantee Champions League football, but United will offer him a chance to shine in the first team.
