IPL 2023 Auction: 991 players registered for the IPL auction; Ben Stokes and Cameron Green lead the list
The BCCI has confirmed that the registration deadline for the IPL auction has passed. With 714 Indians and 277 overseas players, 991 players have made themselves available for selection. Ben Stokes, Cameron Green, Joe Root, and Mayank Agarwal are some of the biggest names up for sale. A maximum of 87 players will be sold in Kochi on December 23
The BCCI said in a statement that the IPL player registration window is over. A total of 991 players have registered and made themselves available for the auction in Kochi on December 23.
Some 714 Indian and 277 overseas players, including 20 from the associated nations, have registered themselves. There are 185 national players available - including Ben Stokes, Cameron Green, and Sam Curran, all of whom will attract the franchisers.

On November 15, All the franchises announced their departures. Some big names like Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, and Mayank Agarwal were released by their franchises. A total of 163 players were retained, and 87 new spots are ready for the auction.
The big names registered for the auction are Ben Stokes, Jason Holder, Cameron Green, Joe Root, Sam Curran, Joshua Little, and David Wiese. However, Aaron Finch, Alex Hales, Pat Cummins, and Sam Billings are players who have decided not to participate.
