Rahul Tripathi scored 76 runs, allowing its team, Sunrisers Hyderabad, to achieve a colossal 196-3 to defeat Mumbai Indians by three runs. Soon after his outstanding performance, Shastri told the media that this prodigy was not far from receiving a call from the national Indian team.

Owing to his mammoth score of 76 in just 44 balls with three sixes and nine fours, Shastri told ESPNCricinfo, "He's not far at all. If someone doesn't get up from the bench or gets up from the wrong side of the bed and gets injured, this guy can be slotted in straight away. He can go at No. 3 or 4. He's a dangerous player and should be in the mix. If he's performing season after season, I'm sure the selectors will watch that very closely and give him his due."

So far, this superstar holds the third position in Sunrisers Hyderabad with a strike rate of 161.72 and 393 runs at an average of 39.30. Given his outstanding performance and a fearless attitude on the field, Shastri believes in Tripathi and is sure about his position on the national team.

Mahi replies to a heartwrenching letter from a fan after CSK knocked out of IPL

After CSK became the second team after Mumbai Indians to be knocked out of the tournament, a fan wrote a heartwrenching letter to Dhoni, showing his respect and gratitude to the prior captain. Dhoni responded to the letter, saying, "Well Written. Best Wishes". CSK posted the same note, signed by Dhoni, on its Twitter page and captioned it, "Words from the heart framed for life & signed with love."

CSK lost four matches in a row this season under Jadeja's captaincy. When the team only got two victories in the eight games they played, Jadeja handed the captaincy back to Mahi, but it was too late for the club by then.

Harbhajan Singh calls out Kane Williamson on his poor form: urges to give up captaincy

Bhajji, the Indian cricket team's former spinner, comments on Kane Williamson's poor form amidst this year's IPL. Sunrisers started poorly with two subsequent defeats. Though they played well in the next few matches, they went victory less for three weeks straight before winning against Mumbai Indians this Tuesday. Experts say that one of the reasons for Sunrisers Hyderabad's poor performance is their captain, Williamson's bad form.

While commenting on his form, Harbhajan Singh said that he should give up captaincy and focus on his batting for the rest of the season. He took the example of Ricky Ponting, who did the same thing in 2013 when he gave up captaincy after 5-6 matches to concentrate on his batting.
