Cricket News : Three Indian players who can create an impact in Asia Cup
The BCCI has released the Indian squad for the Asia Cup, and the team will start their tournament against arch-rivals Pakistan on 28th August 2022. The squad announced gives a hint on the probable squad for the T20 World Cup as well
Since the IPL 2022 has finished, India has played four T20I series with a lot of experimentation with the playing combination and the newly adopted aggressive intent. Three players in the Asia Cup squad are in terrific touch and form. These players’ form is a reasonable assurance for India’s successful tournament ahead, making them favourites to win.
Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav is the perfect middle-order batter that India always needed. In the last few international games, Suryakumar Yadav has opened the innings for team India. Before that, he used to play at his usual position of 4th spot. But one thing that didn’t change even a bit was his aggressive yet composed batting style. With him being in touch, the Indian middle order looks very stable and robust. He keeps the ability to anchor the innings and can be Mr. 360 for India anytime.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
India’s experienced swing king left red ball and ODI cricket to focus entirely on shorter format tournaments like this. Bhuvneshwar Kumar being in form is terrible news for any opening batsman of the opponent team. He was known for his superb command of the ball’s swinging direction, and now he has emerged even better. During the last few series, he looked like the bowler who compliments aggressive power play batting with his bowling. While batters come with a plan to hit from the first ball, he has been sure to take early wickets in the powerplay with utmost consistency.
Arshdeep Singh
India’s newly found left-arm pacer has been performing on every occasion without fail. He was known for his economy and yorker dominating death over bowling. He proved every bit of these terms in the series against West Indies. In every mega tournament which they have won, India had one deadly left-arm pacer with them. Having Arshdeep Singh currently in hot form is like finding the last missing piece for the Indian squad’s puzzle to achieve the most stable team.
