As India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are all set to compete, let's look at some high-profile players who will be the stars to watch out for

    Babar Azam

Ranked number 1 in T20I format, the Pakistan skipper is capable enough to go and win a trophy for his side. He forms a deadly opening pair with Mohammad Rizwan for Men in Green.

He will look to dominate team India the same way as he did in the T20I world Cup 2021 by continuing his rich vein form in the tournament.

    Virat Kohli

With luck running out, the event will be of utmost importance for the 33-year-old star batter. The former Indian skipper has been going through a slumped form this year. While he averaged 22.73 in IPL 2022, scores in international cricket also highlight his abysmal form.

Returning after a break, he will be keen to start strongly with his 100th T20I match and make his presence felt for the Indian team.

    Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan has been a vital force for Bangladesh and will lead the side until T20 World Cup 2022. He is a player who could help turn the tides in favour of Bangladesh in any competitive game.

Ranked third in ICC player ranking for all-rounder speaks volumes of his potential with the bat and the ball. He is one of the most sorted and loved all-rounders for Bangladesh.

    Wanindu Hasaranga

Wanindu Hasaranga has made a substantial name for himself on the international platform. He is one of the most prominent match-winning players in the Sri Lankan team. His ability to ball at any level and phase of the game makes his impact huge for his team.

Having taken 62 wickets in 36 innings at an economy rate of 6.61, the star bowler will attract lots of attention to how he contributes to his team in the tournament.

    Rishabh Pant

A player with a career graph similar to former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has given performances to put himself beyond the version. His breath-taking performances in various tournaments projected his batting style ideal for the shortest format.

Though the batter faced massive backlash in IPL 2022 for his poor average and errors in wicketkeeping, the player has looked to improve and play match-winning knocks for India in matches ahead. His style will hold a lot of eyes on him.
