The 6-foot-7-inch tall fast bowler had the greatest bowling statistics of any English bowler in the 50-over phase of the match by dismissing six Indian hitters for 24 runs in 9.5 overs.
Reece Topley, an English fast bowler, made history on Thursday (July 14), when he bowled the highest bowling stats by an English bowler in the game's 50-over format. Topley was playing in his 17th ODI match. The 28-year-old established a new record by dismissing six Indian hitters for just 24 runs in 9.5 overs. He overcame a 17-year record held by renowned all-arounder and former England captain Paul Collingwood to claim the top spot. At Trent Bridge on June 21, 2005, the 46-year-old Collingwood, who is now England's assistant coach, struck out six hitters from Bangladesh for 31 runs in 10 overs.
