Before the second Test, Ben Duckett acknowledged that England had "little footage" of Abrar Ahmed but asserted that he was not a "mystery spinner" after the 24-year-old grabbed seven wickets to dismiss England for 281 on an opening day in Multan.
Abrar had a spectacular start at the City of Saints after being left out of the squad for Rawalpindi's first Test of the series. He finished the first innings with seven wickets for 114, the 12th-best figures in a player's debut Test innings.
Babar Azam's graceful unbeaten 61 helped Pakistan win the day after England's quick-scoring but short-lived innings, helping the hosts reach 107 for two.

On day two of the second Test against the West Indies, Nathan Lyon broke an unbelievable record he shared with late Australian cricket legend Shane Warne, spinning his way into the record books. The Australian off-spinner became Adelaide's most successful wicket-taker in Test history when he claimed a Windies victim late on the second day.

After Travis Head (175 runs) and Marnus Labuschagne (163) helped Australia to a massive first innings total of 7/511 (dec), the tourists limped to stumps at 4-102 and faced a mountain with climbing on day three. This was when stand-in skipper Steve Smith attacked the tourists' batters with the pink ball under the lights.
