Thousands of England and Iran supporters were left stranded outside the Khalifa International Stadium as a technical issue with the tickets caused huge queues and delays. Empty seats were seen in the Group B clash, with FIFA releasing an official statement confirming that a technical issue was causing the large lines outside the ground.
Fans were left fuming as they could not get into the stadium to watch the match, with many missing the kick-off. FIFA was investigating the problem's cause and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
