The club's hold over the top spot looked shaky at the 45 minutes break as the Hammers took the lead after Jarrod Bowen's well-taken double due to City's defensive weaknesses, which left the team exasperated.

Jack Grealish converted with a deflected volley for the visitors four minutes into the second half, and Vladimir Coufal headed Riyad Mahrez's free-kick into his own team's net in the 69th minute as City equalised from a deficit of two goals in a top-flight game for the first time since 2012. They could've won the match five minutes before it ended, but Lukasz Fabianski saved Mahrez's penalty after Craig Dawson fouled Gabriel Jesus. Pep Guardiola was disheartened at the result, but the second half ultimately worked in favour of City compared to 0-2 in the first half.

West Ham has now qualified for European football due to their league position in successive seasons for the first time in history. However, Guardiola has been successful in the London Stadium as his first five visits all yielded victories and 22 goals. If Liverpool loses the match at Southampton on Tuesday, City will grab their sixth title since 2012. If they win their last game against Aston Villa, City will be crowned champions of the English Premier League for the second consecutive year.

West Ham retained the seventh place and was on course for Europa Conference League qualification. If Manchester United fails to beat Crystal Palace, West Ham can come into the sixth place.

Everton vs Brentford highlights: Yoane Wissa helps Brentford defeat nine-man Everton

Yoane Wissa scored one goal and created another to amplify Everton's Premier League relegation woes as a thrilling 3-2 win for Brentford at Goodison Park, leaving the Merseyside club in danger of relegation for the first time in 68 years.

Leeds United team drew at Brighton earlier in the day on Sunday. And Everton knew that a win would have ensured their top-flight status with just two games remaining. However, they are now two points above 18th-placed Burnley and one point above Jesse Marsch's team, who have played a game more.

    Everton gets a rewarding start

Everton's bright start was recognized with Dominic Calvert-Lewin's first goal since August.

However, the dismissal of Jarrad Branthwaite (a teenager defender) - which occurred moments after Richarlison's appeals for a penalty due to a foul by Kristoffer Anjer was denied - turned the tide in favour of the visitors.

After that, Brentford took control. Wissa forced Everton captain Seamus Cole to concede an own goal. However, Richarlison gave his team a 2-1 advantage with a penalty spot at the break.

Yoane Wissa turns the tides for Brentford in the second half

Two goals by Wissa, and Rico Henry for Brentford in 121 seconds, just past the hour mark, gave the visitors their well-deserved victory.

This leaves Everton with two points more than Burnley in the third relegation spot, both teams still having two games.

After Christian Eriksen's corner was met at the near post by Wissa, who placed a looping header in the goal, they were level.

Worse was to come for the hosts moments after Henry headed Christian Norgaard's cross into the net. Everton's inability to reach the back due to Branthwaite's red card was cruelly exposed. An act of indiscretion already marred Everton's afternoon, and Substitute Salomon Rondon added to it as he was sent off for making a two-footed lunge at Henry.

Brentford's victory moves them to 11th, two points behind Brighton and Leicester City in ninth and 10th, respectively.

Everton will have a chance to maintain their top-flight status by hosting Crystal Palace on Thursday and then travelling to Arsenal on Friday.

Next Sunday, Brentford hosts Leeds United. This is the last game of the season for both sides as the Elland Road side faces the possibility of being relegated.
