Danish striker Andreas Cornelius had an opportunity to put the home side in the lead just before the first half. However, his first shot was parried away by the Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković, while his next shot into the goal was ruled out due to a foul by Joakim Maehle during the buildup.

The introduction of Luka Modric after the first half gave Croatia the much-needed push. He took a corner into the Danish box, allowing Mario Pasalic to pounce and slip the ball through the feet of goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, giving Croatia a 1-0 lead. Denmark tried to score the equaliser, but a goal scored by Jonas Wind was ruled offside in the 87th minute, sealing the victory for Croatia.

Croatia now sits at the second spot in Group A1 with four points from three games behind chart leaders Denmark with six points and second-placed Austria, while France sits at the bottom of the table with two points from three matches. Croatia will travel to Saint-Denis to face France in their next Nation's League faceoff on June 14.

Kylian Mbappe scored a late equaliser as the world champions remain winless

France tied against Austria 1-1 in a UEFA Nations League match at JErnst Happel Stadium in Wien, Austria, on June 11.

Andreas Weimann in the 37th minute was the goal sorcerer for Austria, while Kylian Mbappe in the 83rd minute was the only one to score for France.

Andreas Weimann opened the scoring for Austria in the 37th minute with his first international goal to threaten another upset for France. However, the introduction of Kylian Mbappe as a substitute in the second half helped the French squad break the resistance of the Croatian defence. The Paris Saint-Germain striker fired the ball into the net under immense pressure after receiving the ball from Christopher Nkunku.

A later header by Matteo Guendouzi could have won the match for France, but the attempt got blocked by Austrian goalkeeper Patrick Pentz, who also stopped Mbappe from scoring the winning goal a few minutes later.

As of last year's winners, the squad walked away with one point each, and France remained winless in the Nations League.
