Son Heung-min delighted: Tottenham rediscover joy under new coach Ange Postecoglou
Son Heung-min believes Tottenham are "playing with joy" under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
There was plenty to celebrate for Son and his team-mates on Saturday as the Korean's hat-trick helped them to a 5-2 win over Burnley at Turf Moor, giving Postecoglou 10 points from his first four games in charge.
Spurs fans have been singing about getting their club back as they enjoy bright attacking football after frustrating spells under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, and Son said it was a feeling shared by the players.
"(Postecoglou) wants to have the ball, he wants to dominate the game and he wants to play as high as possible and in their half of the pitch which our players are really interested in it and put a lot of effort into it," Son said.
"Everyone is enjoying it and you could see on the pitch that everyone is playing with joy, with the happiness which is very helpful for the team."
There were fears that Tottenham would take a step back after Harry Kane was sold to Bayern Munich, but that has not been the case so far.
Son's goals on Saturday were his first of the season, and the hat-trick his first since the 6-2 rout of Leicester last September, while both Maddison and Romero scored for the second time this season.
"Everyone has to take a big responsibility because you have no Harry Kane on your team," Son said.
"Everyone is good enough to step up, we have good players especially on the wing and then we got a new signing (Brennan Johnson) as well so we're very excited about it.
"Everyone, not just me, I think this is team sport so everyone has to take a big responsibility to score the goals and be hungry for the goals."
While Tottenham impressed once more, this was a third straight home defeat for Burnley as they have found life back in the Premier League tough going so far.
The Clarets began the game brightly, scoring inside four minutes through Lyle Foster, and were positive in their outlook for much of the first half.
But there were too many mistakes as they tried to play out from the back, and Spurs made them pay.
"We know the task and the challenge to compete against the best in this country and arguably some of the best teams in the world," said midfielder Josh Cullen. "We just need to keep working hard every day. There's no time to go away from what we believe in and look forward to the next game.
"We're playing against better opposition, so any mistakes get punished more ruthlessly and it's harder to implement our style because you're playing against better players.
"But we believe it's the best way to play for this group of players. We just need to keep working hard and get better at those things, it's as simple as that."
Like Spurs, Burnley have been very busy in the transfer market, with Han-Noah Massengo their 14th signing when he arrived during the week.
"Of course when new faces come in it takes time to gel, players getting used to a new style that they maybe hadn't been used to at previous clubs," Cullen added.
"There's a gelling-in period that takes place and hopefully we can gel as quick as we can because we need to start improving and picking up points."
