Serie A: Victor Osimhen 'on the bench' for Napoli versus Verona
Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti has confirmed that striker Victor Osimhen will be eligible for selection for their upcoming match against Verona.
The Nigerian forward did not play in Napoli's Champions League loss to AC Milan, but he trained with the squad ahead of the Verona game.
<p>"The conditions are good, we had a meeting with the doctors this morning and the natural consequence of everything is to call him up for tomorrow," Spalletti told the media.</p>
"He'll be part of the call-up, but then the goal is to get to Milan as well as possible, but he'll be on the bench."
Osimhen has been an important player for Napoli this season, with 21 goals in Serie A and four more in five Champions League games.
<br>Napoli struggled without the former Lille striker at the San Siro, losing 1-0 despite dominating with ten men.
Osimhen's return will aid Napoli as they seek to get closer to their first league championship in over 30 years and secure a first-ever Champions League semi-final spot.
