Sasa Lukic to Fulham confirmed as midfielder signs four-and-a-half-year deal
Fulham have finally got their man after Sasa Lukic joined from Torino on four-and-a-half-year deal with an option to extend for a further year.
Lukic has joined the Cottagers from Italian side Torino after what seems like an eternity of back and forth negotations. The midfielder was a permanent fixture in Ivan Juric's starting XI.
The 26-year-old has often been deployed as a box-to-box midfielder in a 3-5-2 formation which should allow the change to the Cottagers' style of play to be seamless.
His addition to Marco Silva's side will help provide depth and competition for the three central midfield roles Silva often deploys in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The Serbia international will be a welcome addition to the squad and he told the club website that he is "very happy to have signed and to now be a part of Fulham's squad".
The midfielder hasn't yet met the manager or squad but claims he "can't wait to get started and meet with the head coach, the players and the staff, and I'm looking forward to training with them when I arrive in England".
Fulham chairman Tony Khan also had his say on the acqusition of Lukic and stated he was "delighted to welcome Sasa Lukic to Fulham".
"He's a talented and versatile midfielder whom we've followed closely for years. Sasa's arrival will strengthen our team," added Khan.
