Reports: Bayern Munich could replace CEO Oliver Kahn

Oliver Kahn and Alexander Nubel could be on their way out at Bayern Munich.

    Oliver Kahn. Oliver Kahn.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn's future at the club is in doubt after a disappointing 2022/23 season, while goalkeeper Alexander Nubel is expected to leave.

Jan-Christian Dreesen is being considered as a potential replacement for Kahn.

Dreesen, currently serving as Bayern's chief financial officer and vice-chairman, is believed to be a frontrunner for the CEO position.

However, he is also a top candidate to become the new German Football League (DFL) boss.

Dreesen's contract with Bayern is set to expire soon, but the lack of farewell suggests that his time at the club might not be over yet.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is reportedly willing to offload goalkeeper Alexander Nubel this summer, with a price tag of €15-20 million, according to Sky Germany.

Neither the club nor head coach Thomas Tuchel see Nubel as part of their future plans, and the player himself is keen to move on.

Nubel, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at AS Monaco, is under contract with Bayern until 2025.
