After RB Leipzig's late victory over Rangers, 1-0 at home in the semi-final match, an all-German final is possible in the European competition.

RB Leipzig beat Atalanta to reach the stage, and now it is hoping for its first-ever European final. Next week, both the second legs will be held, hosted by Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers.

The Rangers were underdogs in the Europa League semi-final first leg, but they can be proud of what they did, despite a 1-0 defeat.

They entered the game determined to ensure they were in the game for the next leg and achieved that in the end.

After Angelino's brilliant goal, the Rangers lost to RB Leipzig in their Europa League semi-final. The Bundesliga side had few opportunities but took a narrow lead to Glasgow after a brilliant Angelino volley in the final five minutes.

The rangers can be proud of their performance.

Rangers struggled with holding the ball and couldn't offer much threat beyond a few counter-attacks. However, they shouldn't be too disappointed at half-time as RB Leipzig failed to create many opportunities despite having a lot of possession.

James Tavernier moved forward more often from wing-back, as Rangers presented more threat. However, RB Leipzig still had many chances, with star player Christopher Nkunku hitting the target whenever he found an opening.

Angelino scored a stunning goal with five minutes remaining. Fashion Sakala headed a corner from the right to the goal line. Angelino could get the ball before Ryan Kent, hitting it as it fell out of the air. His volleyed shot was dipped and moved towards the far post as it was arrowed, and Allan McGregor couldn't get down in enough time to meet it.

RB Leipzig's head coach acknowledges Rangers' game.

Not only the crowd but RB Leipzig's head coach, Domenico Tedesco, also admitted that it was hard to play against the Rangers this time. Tedesco said that the game was 'tough', and typically Rangers aren't ones to play that deep.

Tedesco said they had 3-4 good chances in the second half, and with a bit of "luck", Angelino scored.

However, Tedesco is confident of a better score next time as Rangers would have to "come out more", and that's where he thinks his side flourishes.

It is the first time in the history of the Europa League that RB Leipzig has won consecutive knock-out ties, and they are unbeaten in their last five such matches in the competition, their best run ever.

Now, the Rangers will travel to Ibrox with only a one-goal deficit. Hopefully, they will have a great night in Glasgow with a full stadium behind them and a proactive approach.

Rangers defeated Braga by a 1-0 in the final round. They will now look for another rough night at Ibrox Stadium to reach their first European final in 14 years.
