Chelsea started poorly as Conor Gallagher received two bookings and was sent off in the 28th minute by referee Paul Tierney. Although they were a man down, they continued with the same enthusiasm.

Soon, the Blues took the lead early into the second half as Sterling's strike heavily deflected off Leicester's Daniel Amartey and went past keeper Danny Ward, marking the former Manchester City player's first goal in the Chelsea jersey.

Sterling then secured the insurance goal and increased their lead in the 63rd minute. It was a spectacular cross by Reece James, who sent the ball from the right flank and, finding Sterling's foot, tapped it inside the post.

A few minutes later, Leicester's efforts to equalise paid off when Harvey Barnes scored a goal in the 65th minute. Barnes was in good form as he paired up with Vardy to create chances.

When the time was right, he threw a powerful shot at Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy who couldn't stop the ball. Ayoze Perez attempted to equalise in the 87th minute, but the ball rammed into the post.

The Blues are currently at the sixth position with seven points from four matches.

He will score, I'm convinced, and he will create chances.

The goals were crucial today because they gave us belief and the boost that it was possible. They were responsible for the win.

Despite the win, Tuchel was unimpressed with his side's third red card in three games

The German was serving his touchline ban for his red card in the draw against Tottenham, while Gallagher received his second yellow card - both for fouls on Harvey Barnes - in the 28th minute. Chelsea also had Kalidou Koulibaly sent off against Leeds.
