Premier League: Manchester United wants AS Roma star Tammy Abraham
Manchester United is looking to acquire English striker Tammy Abraham, seeking a return to Premier League from Serie A club AS Roma
Tammy Abraham moved from Chelsea to Jose Mourinho’s squad AS Roma during the 2021 summer transfer season. The 25-year-old forward was earlier satisfied with staying in Italy after an impressive season during his time in Serie A. However, he is now looking to find his way back to English football.
Manchester United, Arsenal, and his former club Chelsea have shown interest and are seeking a move for Tammy Abraham.
Tammy Abraham began his senior career after being signed by Chelsea in 2016. He spent three years of his time with Chelsea with Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa on loan.
Tammy Abraham had his breakout season while playing for Chelsea in the 2019/20 season. He recorded 18 goals and six assists for Chelsea from 47 matches across all competitions. The English international also scored 19 goals for AS Roma from 49 appearances last season and helped them win the title at the inaugural UEFA Conference League.
Several Premier League clubs are looking to secure a move from Tammy Abraham in the upcoming transfer window to strengthen their attacking line considering his form in the last two seasons.
Erik ten Hag-led Manchester United is looking to sign Abraham as they are facing some uncertainties with their star strikers despite having a solid attacking line.
Arsenal rekindles interest in Ruben Neves
Rúben Neves is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2023 season despite his contract situation with Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. The 25-year-old Portuguese midfielder was a key player for Bruno Lage-led Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were asking for approximately Euro 70 million for Ruben Neves. However, the talks for a potential exit in 2023 have already started as his contract ends.
Barcelona has also identified Ruben Neves as the perfect replacement for Sergio Busquets. However, Arsenal is looking to rekindle their interest in the Portuguese national and will likely have to compete with Barcelona.
