The absence of Graham Potter has chained the Seagulls' winning potential. Since Potter took over as the manager of Chelsea, Brighton has played in five Premier League contests and has not won even a single one.
Roberto De Zerbi's tenure began positively, with Brighton holding Liverpool to a 3-3 draw at Anfield. Since then, they have been defeated by Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, and Manchester City, while also drawing 0-0 with Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, Graham Potter's new team are unbeaten in their past nine matches across all competitions and will look to maintain that streak against the manager's former club.
Chelsea has gone winless in their previous two Premier League contests. Last Saturday, they played Manchester United for a 1-1 draw. After Jorginho gave them the lead in the 87th minute, Casemiro levelled the score in the fourth minute of stoppage time for the Red Devils.
The Blues defeated RB Salzburg by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday thanks to goals from Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz. They are fifth in the standings and will be anxious for a win on Saturday against a Manchester United team that is on the rise.
As for head-to-head stats, Chelsea has won 12 times against Brighton, while only once have the Blues tasted defeat against them. At the same time, a total of games between both have been drawn.
Key stats for the match

Chelsea's predicted lineup
There are no new fitness concerns for Chelsea. Mateo Kovacic has recovered from a calf injury, but Kalidou Koulibaly may not return until next week.
Due to their severe injuries, N'Golo Kante, Reece James, and Wesley Fofana will not play again until at least after the World Cup.
Kepa Arrizabalaga continues to replace Edouard Mendy in goal after the Senegalese goalkeeper was injured early in the season. The Spaniard has not made a single mistake since being chosen to replace Mendy.
Probable lineup: Kepa, Mount, Sterling, Aubameyang, Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Kovacic, and Chilwell.
Brighton's predicted lineup
Brighton will evaluate Adam Lallana and Joel Veltman after their ejection from the match against Manchester City.
The Dutchman Joel Veltman is the primary absence for Brighton due to a knock. Adam Lallana and Kaoru Mitoma, however, have recovered from their problems. Mitoma may not play since he has to restore match fitness.
Probable lineup: Sanchez, Gross, Trossard, Welbeck, Veltman, Dunk, Webster, March, Caicedo, Mac Allister, and Estupinan.
Chelsea VS Brighton prediction
There have been four ties between the teams in the five previous meetings, and both teams have struggled in front of goal recently.
Brighton is trying to impose themselves in the same manner as they did under their former manager, while Chelsea, who aren't precisely blazing on all cylinders either, should be able to exploit Brighton's wastefulness.
Final prediction: Chelsea 1-0 Brighton
