Howe, who has taken the Magpies into third spot in the Premier League, strengthened his squad ahead of the second half of the season with the signing of Anthony Gordon.

Newcastle splashed over £40m on the Everton forward - a move which sparked speculation over Saint-Maximin's future.

Howe quashed any concerns over the Frenchman during his press conference.

When asked whether the 25-year-old is up for sale, the Newcastle boss said: "Absolutely not. He's here to stay. He's an integral part of my team." Saint-Maximin arrived at St James' park in 2019 from Ligue 1 side Nice.

Since then, the winger has made 109 appearances across all competitions and has also chipped in with 13 goals.

The Frenchman has made 12 Premier League appearances this season as Newcastle continue to climb the standings.
