Moises Caicedo: It would be impossible to reject Chelsea
Moises Caicedo doesn't see how he could reject a move to Chelsea.

Moises Caicedo admits he would be unable to turn down a move to Chelsea this summer.

The Brighton midfielder is the Blues' top target to replenish their midfield following the summer departures of several key players.

Chelsea have been in talks with Brighton over a summer deal, but negotiations have proven difficult. Brighton have set a £100m price tag for Caicedo, which is based on the fee that Declan Rice is set to move to Arsenal for.

Chelsea are not willing to meet this price, but Caicedo has said he would be open to a move to the Blues.

"It's a big team, that's true," he told Maria Jose Flores when asked about Chelsea.

"A very historic team and I can't say no, because it's a very big, historic, beautiful team.

"The city as well is beautiful. It's got everything beautiful."

Brighton have also expressed an interest in seeing Chelsea offer center-back Levi Colwill as part of any bid for Caicedo, but the Blues have made it clear that they are not entertaining such an idea.

Colwill is due to report back for pre-season training with Chelsea in the coming days.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be able to agree a deal for Caicedo, but the midfielder has made it clear that he would be open to a move to the club.

The Blues are also likely to face competition from other clubs for Colwill's signature, but they are determined to keep the highly-rated defender.
