Martin Odegaard: Erling Haaland 'maybe' the best player in the world
Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard believes his compatriot, and Manchester City star, Erling Haaland has a strong argument to be considered the best in the world.
The 23-year-old has been a dominant force on the Premier League scene since his £51million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
During this time, Haaland has impressively notched up 60 goals in 65 matches across all competitions, and he also played a pivotal role in City's treble-winning campaign last term.
Odegaard and Haaland are currently on international duty with Norway as they aim to help their country reach Euro 2024.
At club level, the two men recently faced each other as Arsenal beat Manchester City 1-0 in the Premier League.
Odegaard has been impressed by Haaland's exploits, and praised the young striker's world class ability.
"Of course, we have with Haaland now, maybe the best player in the world. We have to get the best out of him," Odegaard told Hayters TV.
"But we're also a team and that's the most important thing. We need the team to work together - and that's a key thing for us."
